O. H. Bubba Jones

Stanly, LA - Services for O. H. "Bubba" Jones, 83, will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 18, 2014, at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Stanley. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Logansport on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 5:00 until 9:00 PM. Bubba was born November 7, 1931 in Stanley to Josie and Charlie Jones and passed away December 15, 2015 in Shreveport. He retired from the DeSoto Parish Policy Jury and later served has a Policy Juror. Bubba proudly served his country in the U.S. ARMY during the Korean War. He enjoyed his horses and trail riding and most of all being with his family and friends. Preceding Bubba in death was his parents Josie and Charlie Jones; four sisters Rayelle Fugler, Loraine "Ted" Crump, Eva Lois "Sis" Fargo, and Beatrice Fults; brother Creech Jones; and son Jack Moody "Dusty" Jones. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Brenda Jones; three daughters Kimberly Horn and husband Russell of Greenwood, AR, Lisa Nichols and husband John of Highland, TX and Kitty Wise and husband Chuck of Tohatchi, NM; three sons Russell Jones of Mexia, TX, Hollis Jones and wife Dianne of Pinehill, TX and Jeremy Jones of Portland OR; brother Marvin Jones and wife Patsy of Shreveport; sister Mary Brown of Logansport; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
