Palma Deree Fargerson

  SHREVEPORT, LA - Very early on the morning of April 13, 2016 Palma "Pam" Fargerson, 101, took her flight to Heaven. Funeral services celebrating her long and wonderful life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Rev. Shawn Fargerson will be officiating. Visitation with the family will be held Friday, April 15, 2016 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pam was born on January 25, 1915 in Ruston, LA to Robert and Minnie Thrasher Speights. She was a homemaker who loved to cook, sew, and take of her family. She will dearly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Speights, her husband of 59 years, Lenial Bayne Fargerson, Sr., sons, Lenial Bayne Fargerson, Jr., and Shirley Gene Fargerson, several siblings, and 2 grandchildren, Michael Gene Fargerson and Shannon Fargerson. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, John Fargerson and wife, Denise of Pagosa Springs, CO; daughter-in-law, Laverne Fargerson of Shreveport, LA; sister, Robbie Morgan of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Sherry Morgan and husband, David of Austin, TX, Linda Thibodeaux and husband, Cecil of Etoile, TX, Shawn Fargerson and wife, Sandra of Bossier City, LA, Mark Fargerson and wife, Staci of Vivian, LA, and Michelle Vucinovich of Shreveport, LA; 10 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Honoring Pam as pallbearers will be her great-grandsons, David Morgan, Jr., Brian Morgan, Jared Thibodeaux, Taylor Fargerson, Christopher Davison, and Colby Voekel.
