Pastor Mark Curtis Festervand

A memorial service for Mark Curtis Festervand, 57, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Visitation with the family will be at 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Officiating will be Bro. Billy Crosby with Dr. Bob Utley assisting. Mark was born on October 19, 1960 in Shreveport, LA to Don Mike Festervand and Barbara Jean Abbott Festervand and went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 23, 2017. Mark attended East Texas Baptist University where he received his M.A. in Psychology. He also attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He was the Pastor of Trees Unity Church in Vivian, LA and former Pastor of Trees Baptist Church in Vivian, LA. He also served as the former Vivian Police Chaplain and Chaplain of Fire District 7 Caddo Parish. Mark was active in the Who's Who of Young American Executives, as he was very involved with his church and community. Mark was preceded in death by his father Don Mike Festervand. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Elizabeth Gathright Festervand; mother, Barbara Abbott Festervand; daughters, Amanda Norris and husband Chad Norris, Kricket Brattin and husband Neil M. Brattin and Brittney Free Hauptman; son, Brian "Bo" Stephen Free, Jr. and wife Ashley Bullock Free; grandchildren, Elizabeth McMillian, Julia Terry, Michael McMillian, Loren Terry, Beaux Free, Anna Kate Hauptman, Aubrey Free, Andrew Hauptman, Allie Bowlin and sister, Teresa Festervand.
