Patricia Ann Perry

Patricia Ann Perry, 68, was born on June 3, 1956, to Francis and Leroy Hudson in West Monroe, Louisiana, and passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025, surrounded by her family and friends.

Patricia devoted 25 years of her life to working at Sunnybrook Children's Home, where her nurturing spirit and compassionate nature shone brightly. She cared for many children, treating each one as though they were her own, providing them not only with care but also with love and support that fostered their growth and development. Her commitment to these young lives exemplified her personal philosophy of nurturing and kindness.

As a devoted wife and mother, Patricia cherished her family deeply. Her strength and warmth created a loving home that resonated with acceptance and joy. Patricia’s passions extended beyond her professional commitments; she enjoyed teaching Bible class, sharing her deep faith and enthusiasm for learning with the community. Additionally, she found great joy in singing at church alongside her family.

Patricia Ann Perry will be remembered fondly for her selflessness, her nurturing heart, and her enduring love for her family and those she served. She leaves behind a legacy that will inspire many and be cherished in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Patricia will be forever loved and missed.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Leroy Hudson; siblings, Debbie Cook, Tim Hudson, and Brenda Page. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert Perry; daughter, Brenda Dean and husband, Charles; brother-in-law, Tim Page; niece, Rachael Coats and husband, Don and daughter, Ava along with many cousins on both sides of the family.

The family suggests memorials may be made to the Arklatex Christian Encampment at P.O. Box 5933 Shreveport, Louisiana 71105. There will not be a memorial, but it would mean so much to the family if you would donate.

A quote from Mrs. Patricia Perry,

“I always wondered why God only gave me one child, and then it hit me after being up all night with sick children, I realized I had been blessed with more than one child. My Sunnybrook children were my soul, and my only child was my heart. When I put them both together, it makes my life complete. God blessed me with many children to love.”
