Homer, LA: Funeral services will be held for Patricia "Pat" Fowler Hammontree, 67, at the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Andy Prince, officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 405 E. 5th St. in Homer on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.
Pat was born November 21, 1946 in Ft. Smith, AR to Herbert Hansel Fowler and Rose Mary Guthrie Fowler. She entered into rest Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Willis-Knighton Medical Center following a brief illness. Pat was a longtime employee of WalMart and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; also her husband, P.A. Hammontree, daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Michael Robertson, all who died in a tragic house fire on Christmas morning, Dec. 25, 2004; and a granddaughter, Savannah.
She is survived by 2 sons, David Hammontree and wife, Jeanie of Homer and Michael Hammontree and wife, Tammy of Springhill; 3 sisters, Susie Lee of Minden, Judy Foster and husband, Lamar of Homer and Peggy Woods and husband, Lane of Haughton; 10 grandchildren, Dustin, Matthew, Kraig, Alan, Angel, Keirsten, Hunter, Michaela, Steven and Eva; 2 great-grandsons, Noah Alan and Jason Wade; host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Dustin, Kraig and Hunter Hammontree, William Gerald, Clay McDonald and Kendall Saintignan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lane Woods and Daryl Cheney.
