HOMER, LA: Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Patricia Ann Thornton McGaha, 69, at Richland United Pentecostal Church of Holly Ridge, LA, on Thursday, May 3, 2018. Visitation will be held at the church from 1-3 P.M. prior to the service at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Kevin Cox and Rev. Jimmy Masters, officiating. Interment will be at McKnight Cemetery in Holly Ridge, LA. The family will also receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Homer, LA, on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, from 5-7 P.M.
Mrs. McGaha was born January 18, 1949, in Rayville, LA, to Virgil J and Jimmie Lou Townley Thornton. She entered into rest on Monday, April 30, 2018, in Minden, LA. Mrs. McGaha served her Lord and Savior in the ministry alongside her husband for 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Rev. Robert McGaha; a son, Terry McGaha and wife Audrea; a daughter, Melanie McGaha; a brother, Virgil Thornton, Jr.; three sisters, Glenda Rawls, Brenda Whittington and Mary Elizabeth Fondren; six grandchildren, Jenna McGaha, Jordan McGaha, Breanna Sims, Anthony Watts, Jessie Watts, and Kayla Watts; five great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Allen, Heath Rawls, David Barton, Lee McGaha, Rodney Barton, Garan Whittington, Keith McGaha and Ronald Rawls.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jody Rawls, Ray Thornton, Jerry Self, Michael Thornton, Chris Kirk, Gregg Kirk, Keith Sharplin, Dwayne Walker, Ronnie Jenkins, David Aycock, George Norris, and E.J. Prince.
