Patsy Holmes

A graveside service honoring the life of Patsy Caston Holmes will be held Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Simsboro, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 12:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia, Louisiana. 

Patsy was born July 27, 1933, in Coushatta, Louisiana to Benjamin and Leola Holley Caston. She entered into rest on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, with her loving family by her side. Patsy enjoyed sewing, cooking, especially for special occasions, yardwork and gardening. She also enjoyed working on genealogy and playing Pac-Man and Zelda in years past. But her true love and passion wasbeing with and caring for her family.

Patsy was preceded in death by her husband William Louie Holmes, parents Benjamin and Leola Caston, son William Carlton Holmes, brothers Russ Caston and Gene Caston, and sister Laverne Ray.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Renee Boggs and husband Ray, Mark Holmes and wife Tracy, and Karen Newlen and husband Ken, by grandchildren, Chris Boggs and wife Katherine, Lindsey Ducote and husband Landry, Hunter Boggs and wife Morgan, Matthew Holmes and wife Jessica, Luke Holmes and wife Andrea, Josh Newlen and wife Pam, Jordan Newlen and wife McKenzie, and Alex Holmes, by 23 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family including Reba Holmes and Tammy Holmes. 

Honoring Patsy as pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family would like to thank Rudy, Sheila, and Kinsey from Gentiva Hospice for the special care they providedof our mother. The family would also like to give special thanks to Letha Banks, Lisa Ford, Lisa Tilbury, and Teresa Wilkes for their love and care of Mrs. Patsy over the years.
