Paul Kenneth Allen

Funeral services for Paul Kenneth Allen, 66, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Ros-Neath Chapel, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City, LA. Officiating the service will be Pastor Tommy Patton.

Paul K. Allen was born in Shreveport, LA to Marsha N. Allen and Roy B. Allen on October 29, 1956. He was called to his heavenly home on June 22, 2023.

Paul was always a hard worker starting from his first paper route as a young boy. He always put all his effort and strength into his work. He would always work long, hard hours. Paul was one of the youngest boat captains they had out of Morgan City, LA. He was responsible for safely bringing supplies to the offshore drilling sites. He trained many men the job he had and watched them succeed, which made him proud. Years later he decided to go back to school to be an electrician. He did that successfully for several years.

Paul lived and worked out of the Dallas, Texas area where he could be close to his mother and her husband, Marion “Bud” Wade. He was able to help them with things they could no longer do, but it gave him a lot of joy.

After he moved back to Bossier City, LA, something everyone dreads, he was diagnosed with Stage four Lymphoma. He underwent aggressive treatment and beat it! He was cancer free! Unfortunately, cancer reared its ugly head again and came back with a vengeance.

Paul loved his family and loved to do for others.

Paul is preceded by his wife, Melinda Butler, and his mother. He is survived by his father; his two brothers, David R. Allen (Barbara) and John W. R. Allen (Barbara), along with many nieces, nephews, and their families.
