BOSSIER CITY, LA - Memorial graveside services for Paul Anthony Wehrle will be at 11 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, with U.S. Navy Honors. Officiating will be Father Karl Daigle.
Paul was born May 7, 1933 in East Pittsburg, PA to Paul A. Wehrle, Sr. and Gertrude Mary Carrigan Wehrle. He died November 29, 2016 in Bossier City. Paul served his country in the U.S. Navy on the USS Baltimore during the Korean War. He received his education from Westinghouse Tech University and worked for Westinghouse for seven years. Paul retired from sales for Thorton Industrial. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and the Sailors Association. Paul was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, football, especially LSU and the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Pittsburg Pirates baseball.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents.
Paul is survived by his wife of 35 years, Donna Wehrle; children, Phil Wehrle and wife, Tracey, Tom Wehrle and wife, Karen, Danealle Sautter, Brenda Wehrle, Karen King, Michael Simmons and wife, Susan and Connie White and husband, Bob; sister, Audrey Polosko and husband, Joe; six grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren and his canine companion, Charlie.
