Paul Edwin Burns

DEBERRY, TX - Funeral services for Paul Edwin Burns, 63, will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, Keatchie, LA. Interment will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Officiating will be Bro. William Hines and Rev. McKee Williams. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, LA. Paul was born on June 3, 1952 in Shreveport to Chester Burns, Sr. and Ruby Richey Burns and passed away on October 10, 2015. His greatest passions were God and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Paul was a dedicated member of Shiloh Baptist Church for more than 30 years. He retired from AT&T after 39 ½ years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Paul was preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 35 years, Linda Burns; daughters, Jennifer Burns and fiancé, Joey Vergo, and Stefanie Burns; grandchildren, Shailyn and Gavin Higginbotham, Colton White and Tony Vergo; sister, Cecelia Cannon and husband, M.P.; brothers, Chester Burns, Jr., Craig Burns and wife, Dee; numerous nieces, nephews extended family, and friends. Honoring Paul as pallbearers will be Dennis Mjaseth, Christopher Mjaseth, Chester Burns Jr., Trey Burns, Craig Burns, and John Duggins. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Mjaseth, Tommy Burns and Ken Warren. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials may be made to Shiloh Baptist Church or Shiloh Cemetery Association, 322 Church Rd, Keatchie, LA 71046.
