Paul Edward Hoofnagle

SHREVEPORT, LA - SMSGT Paul (Hoof) Hoofnagle USAF Retired, 78, was called home to his heavenly Father on September 27, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Rose-Neath\'s Southside Chapel. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery with full Military Honors. Visitation with the family will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at the funeral home. Paul was born in Portsmouth, VA to Paul and Hyacinth Hoofnagle on June 8, 1936. He joined the US Air Force and retired after 27 years of service, which took him to many states in the US, Canada, Europe, the Pacific, and Southeast Asia. After retirement from the Air Force, SMSGT Hoofnagle went to work for the City of Shreveport in the Traffic Engineering Department retiring after 19 years of service. SMSGT Hoofnagle was proud to have served his Country and the City of Shreveport, where he made many friends. He was first and foremost a dedicated Husband, Father, Grandpa and Great Grandpa. Family was alway his priority. His smile and gentle ways will be forever missed by his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his infant son Steven Paul, and his Parents. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Gloria; two daughters, Susan and Karen and one son Phillip; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
