Paula Marie Perot

Paula Marie Perot, age 60, passed away Saturday May 12, 2018. Paula is survived by her brother, Rick Perot of Campbell, CA; sister, Renee Perot Higginbotham of Blanchard, LA; her children, Monica and Richard Gilmore of West Monroe, LA, Steven Johnson and Mike Mullins of Marshall, TX, and Dusty and Leann Johnson of Ringgold, LA; her six grandchildren, Brooke, Bailey, Gracie, Tory, Hannah, and Hayleigh; and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Rosemary Perot and brother Jimmy Perot of Shreveport, LA. Paula was born to parents Louis and Rosemary Perot on June 26, 1957 in Shreveport, LA. She grew up with three close siblings and attended Woodlawn High School. Her surviving children remember her as a driven, brilliant woman and mother who encouraged them to pursue their heart and goals. Paula was a wonderful and creative artist, she loved creating things out of glass and sharing them with family and friends. She enjoyed hiding small whimsical creatures that she created around the various parks for the children to find, and loved to watch as the children who found them light up with excitement for their newfound treasures. A remembrance memorial will be available to the public at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home May 16, 2018 between the hours of 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
