Survivors include her dear sister, Ruth Gilbert Nierman; son, Mark Gilbert Murov and his wife, Rita Ward Murov of Austin, Texas; daughter, Barbara Caroline Anker of Atlanta, Georgia; grandsons, Andrew Murov and Adam Murov of Austin, Texas and Devon S. She leaves lifelong and more recent friends in Shreveport, Fort Worth and Austin, although many sadly predeceased her, including prominently many of her "Mah Jong game" companions.
She belonged to and supported many organizations, including B'nai Zion Congregation, Hadassah, Shreveport Jewish Federation, and others. Right up to her last days, she was a person who liked to "speak her mind." The family sincerely thanks her caregivers, Pat Smith, Jill Baillio, and Courtney Graggs. She will be missed and fondly remembered.
Burial will private. Memorial service will be held at B'nai Zion Congregation, 245 Southfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana, 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2016. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her memory to the charity of your choice.
