Pearl Lewis Scott SHREVEPORT, LA - Services celebrating the life of Pearl Lewis Scott, 90, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 15, 2015, at Kingston Rd Baptist Church. Officiating will be Bro. Crawford Williams. Interment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Avenue. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Pearl was born October 25, 1924 in Heflin, LA and passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015, at the Live Oaks Health Center. She was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church and later an active member of Kingston Rd. Baptist Church until her health failed. She was a Christian lady who loved her Lord and her family and friends. Pearl worked for Lakeshore Drug Store for many years and after retirement she worked as a volunteer in the gift shop at Schumpert Hospital. She is preceded in death by parents, George N. Lewis Sr. and Mammie Rochester; husband, John Dale Scott; sisters, Clellis Lewis, Daisy Lewis, and Mary Lewis; brothers, George N. Lewis Jr., Marshall Lewis and twin brother Percy Lewis. Left to cherish her memory are her nieces and nephews, Linda Collins, Judy Gregory, Barbara Permenter, and Michael Lewis. Honoring Pearl as pallbearers will be Jim Gregory, Randy Dees, Barney Permenter, Kyle Lewis, James Dees, and Clint Wheeler. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Glynn Hooper, James Thomason, Rochelle Bogan, and Dudley Hay. The family wouldlike to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Live Oak East and West Wing, Dr. Allen Brown and his staff, hospice nurse Lucie Grove, her good friend Annie, and beautician Salley Johnson for all their love and care over the years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kingston Rd. Baptist Church, Live Oak, or St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
