Peggy Ann Love Gannon

SHREVEPORT, LA - "To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord." Peggy Gannon left this world on September 3, 2014 to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, LA. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery, Bossier City. Rev. Tom Hill will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Peggy was born November 14, 1935 in New Bern, NC to Robert and Gladys Smith Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Nolan Davis. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Ken Love; daughters, Michelle Love Willis and Catherine Love Worn; sisters, Jean Lawrence and Mary Lou Long; grandchildren, Zachary Worn, Joshua Worn and his wife, Haley; Jared Willis, Alex Willis, Melanie Wichmann, Melissa Wichmann Rayford, Kevin Love and Megan Love Procell, and a multitude of great-grandchildren. Peggy retired from Arkla Gas in 1986. She loved God, her church and was a devoted member. Throughout the many years of her illness, Peggy fought with all she had. She was strong, gentle, kind and loving. Jesus finally called her home and now her fight is over. She's in a glorious place with a healthy body, surrounded by peace and joy. The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Wen Liu, Dr. David Green, and to the staff at Lifecare who treated her with dignity, respect and compassion. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made in honor of Peggy to The American Lung Association or to the charity of donor's choice.
