Peggy Jo Philyaw

KEITHVILLE, LA - Peggy Jo Philyaw, 60, went to be with her heavenly Savior on June 26, 2016 after a lengthy illness. Peggy was born in Texarkana, AR on October 23, 1955 to J.D. Philyaw and Melba Bellew Edmonds. Peggy was preceded in death by her father J.D. Philyaw and nephew Chad David Wiley. Those left to cherish her memory are her mother Melba B. Edmonds; son Lawrence Bass and his wife, Veronica; daughter Kellie Brooks and her husband, Charles; grandchildren Megan Bass, Katelyn Bass, Logan Bass, Alexis Areias, Charli Brooks, Makynlee Brooks, and Keira Brooks; great-grandchild Skylar; sisters Sue Hazen and husband Roy, Paulette Ortiz and husband Tom, Dianne Sellars, Vickie Wimmer and husband Bill, and Karen Fricks; her beloved 4-legged companion Harley "Little Foot" Wolfe, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Peggy was passionate about her family and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, spending time outdoors, and talking about her grandchildren, whom she adored. She was full of life and lived each day to its fullest. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
