Perry L. Britt

Graveside services for Perry L. Britt will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Mansfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA from 9:00 AM until time of service on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. Perry was born June 20, 1943 in Pleasant Hill, LA to Solomon J. and Jennie Rains Britt. He passed away July 4, 2024 at the age of 81, in Mansfield, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Dallas R. Britt, Muriel M. Britt, Ollie J. Britt, and Elmer V. Britt; and sister Theresa B. Rutherford.

Perry was a devoted child of God. He loved to study his Bible, explaining verses to whoever asked him, witnessing to others. He loved people and was willing to do whatever would make life easier for that person, He loved teaching Sunday School in previous years and often had Bible study at his home. He was a master at grafting fruit and nut trees and gardening. He was the owner and operator of Britt’s Napa Auto Parts for 43 years before his retirement in 2014. He was affectionally know by his customers as “Mr. Napa.” He coauthored with Jeanne an article every week for 16 years in the Sabine Index and on social media “Notes from an Old Bible.”

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Jeanne Dykes Britt. Left to also cherish his memory are his 3 children Amy B. McCullin and husband Muriel of Many, LA, Perry L. Britt, II and wife Michelle of Shreveport, LA, William A. “Bill” Britt and wife Kim of Logansport, LA; 7 grandchildren Brittany M. Veuleman, Callie E. McCullin, Jena L. McCullin, Johnathan A. Britt, Jessica J. Britt, Peyton Toups, Thomas Garrett Britt, Madie Flagg; 3 great grandchildren Cooper and Sawyer Veuleman and Avery Elise Britt.

Honoring the life of Perry as pallbearers will be Jody Britt, Wade Britt, Chad Britt, Jonathan Britt, Garrett Britt, and Beau Young.
