BOSSIER CITY, LA - Phiangphen "Penny" Neal, 65, died suddenly Friday afternoon, August 14, 2015, after a short illness. She was born January 13, 1950 in Bangkok, Thailand. Services for Penny will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at St. Jude Catholic Church, Benton, LA. Officiating will be Father Jerry Daigle, assisted by Father Bosco. Interment will be at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be at St. Jude prior to the service Wednesday, beginning at 9 a.m.
Penny supported her husband for over 30 years, while he was in the U.S. Military. She was a naturalized United States citizen and a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. Penny was a dedicated member and a faithful follower and worker of the church, an angel in disguise.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters from Thailand and her mother and father-in-law of El Dorado, AR.
Penny was a loving wife for over 40 years to her husband, Oscar John Neal of Bossier City, LA. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Sara; sisters-in-law, Susan Neal of Little Rock, AR, Jane Siratt and husband, Butch of Smackover, AR; two nieces, four great nephews and two great nieces of El Dorado, AR; two brothers, one niece and several great nieces and great nephews in Thailand and a multitude of friends. She will be missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Jude Catholic Church.
