Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Phyllis Anne (Remedies) Samples, 70 of Zwolle, Louisiana, will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zwolle, Louisiana. Fr. Keith Garvin will be the officiant and interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. A visitation for her will begin on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 5:00 PM-9:00PM at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Many, Louisiana and will continue on Monday, June 14, 2021 from 8:00 AM-9:00PM, with a rosary beginning at 6:00 PM in the chapel. Her visitation will conclude on Tuesday morning, June 15, 2021 at the funeral home chapel from 8:00 AM- 9:00 AM. Phyllis was born July 5, 1950 in Zwolle, Louisiana to Bertie Lee (Parrie) Remedies and Louis Remedies, Sr. and she entered into rest on June 10, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Phyllis spent many years of her life as a dedicated caretaker to many of her family and friends. In her down time, she enjoyed playing bingo, painting, watching soap operas, and snacking on jellybeans. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She leaves behind many years of memories and wisdom. Each day she reminded those who loved her that the simple things in life is what means the most.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Louis Remedies, Sr.; her husband, Jerry Samples; her sister, Mary Jane Sepulvado; and her brother, Charles Steven Remedies. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, John Remedies & wife, Kayla of Zwolle, LA; her daughter, Charlette Remedies Rivers & husband, Joel of Noble, LA; her sister, Lois Jean Sepulvado of Noble, LA; her brothers, Joseph Remedies and Louis Remedies, Jr. of Zwolle, LA; she also has 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In conclusion, she also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be Anthony Remedies, Dewayne Sepulvado, Jerrod Rivers, Howard Lee Sepulvado, Buck Cartinez, and James Parrie. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Malmay, Thomas Parrie, Jerricho Manshack, Carsten Hagelin, Jasper Malmay, and Edward Todd Sepulvado.
