On Wednesday, September 23, 2020, our beloved "Nana" Deanna Mae Nichols-Folyer, left us too soon.
Her story began on January 7, 1992. She came into this world crying and leisurely, on her own time. The next 28 years, she continued to live the same way, loud and late. She was always a constant force of joy, determination, and sunshine. Stubborn and sure of everything from her first word "uppy", she knew she was destined for greatness. She will be cherished and remembered always for her loving heart, generosity of self, and kindness, in which she spread to those who knew her in her time with us all.
She leaves behind her loving mother, Suzanne Nichols; her cherished sisters, Sarah Dowden and husband, Evan, Angel Langley and husband, Christopher and Amanda Krienke; nieces and nephews, Kyndal Sapp, Christian Krienke, Robert Sapp, Evalee Dowden, and Grant Langley; grandparents, Robert and Judith Nichols; beloved aunt, Michele Beam; her patient and loving fiancé, Zack Outz, who she treasured with her whole heart and who was a pillar in her life; and so, so very many, co-workers and friends that she touched with her compassion and beautiful soul.
Deanna was a big spirit. She, like all 3 of her sisters, had a big personality, right up to her loud, quirky, hearty laugh that resonated throughout the house. On her way to finishing her accounting degree, her resilience was an inspiration to others. Teaching, without even meaning to, that it is possible to overcome heartache and hard times to achieve any goal when you set your mind to task. Never again will we be able to hear Taylor or Julia sing without hearing her off-key bursts of song and seeing her crooked lips in that beautiful smile that radiated off her face like pure sunshine. That smile that could make the coldest, saddest day better because you knew how pure the heart was behind that smile.
While she is gone from us, pain was not her intention. Knowing her heart, we must all unite and live our lives to project the happiness, compassion, and growth that she wished for us. We shall all eagerly await to adore her and place her back on her pedestal she has fallen from. Love you Nana.
Services to remember together and all have a moment in this hectic life to wish her peace and love until we meet again will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St Shreveport, LA, Monday, September 28, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. Reverend Bob Moore will officiate.
