R. Douglas Eilbeck

A Graveside Service for Robert Douglas Eilbeck, 64, will be held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Ave., Shreveport, LA, with Brother Price Harris officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2017, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA. Doug was born December 3, 1952 in Shreveport, LA to Emma Jean Hatfield Eilbeck and John Chandler Eilbeck and went to be with his Lord and Savior October 11, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. Doug was a loving husband, father and friend. He loved spending time with his wife Dianne "her happily ever after". Taking cruises together was one of their favorite things to do. Doug spent time serving his country in the United States Coast Guard so he had a love for being on the water. He had a passion for riding his Harley Davidson on a pretty sunny day. He served as past Activities Director of the Shreveport Harley Owners Group. Doug was over-joyed with happiness at the recent birth of his and Dianne's first grandchild. Doug was always happy and smiling but that smile became much larger when he got to hold his new grandbaby. Doug had a kind sweet heart and he will surely be missed by all that knew him. Doug is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Carla Dianne Eilbeck; son, Clint Douglas Eilbeck; brother, Donald Wayne Eilbeck; sister, Sandra Diane Eilbeck; and grandson, Cole Douglas Eilbeck. Honoring Doug as pallbearers will be Craig Avélallemant, Curtis Paton, David McDow, James Simmons, Matt Snyder, and Roy Desoto.
