Randy Paul Hardy was born on July 15, 1969, to the union of Nathainel and Doris Hardy. He professed Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Starlight Baptist Church.
Randy attended school in the Avoyelles Parish School System. Upon completion of High School, he worked in various vocations, including offshore, Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Department, and Paragon Casino and Resorts.
Randy was “a helper”. He could do almost anything. He enjoyed cooking (and eating). When he made his 13th birthday, he said to his mom, “I am a teenager now, you have to start trusting me. Can I fry some chicken?” and the rest is history. He adored grilling, and thought he was the best in the world at it. He thought he was the best driver in the world, and always wanted to drive. He loved to dress, and always had to be matching, whether it was shorts or a suit. His shoes were always clean and polished. He loved his family and was a very loyal friend and expected the same from others. He would go the last and give his last.
Later in life, Randy united with the St. John Community Church-Baptist. There, he was at his best. He volunteered in the food service area. He loved doing that. He also became the armor-bearer to Pastor Charles E. Guillory. That made him proud. He viewed his job as protecting the pastor and would do it at all cost. He volunteered for many other projects at the church. He was faithful to his God and to his church supporting both with his time. His talents, and his treasures.
Randy met and married Amanda Renee’ Collins. To this union, one daughter was born. Candice LaShae Hardy.
Randy was preceded in death by both his father and mother – Nathainel and Doris Hardy; one brother, Ronald Hardy; and one sister, Myrtle Audery Hardy.
Randy leaves to cherish his memories of his wife, Amanda Hardy; three daughters. Candice Lakeshia, and Shelby; one son, Cleveland; eight grandchildren, Kalli, Michael, Kynedi, Kinzley, De’Jon, Kimora, Kevin, Jr. and Cha; three brothers, Glynn (Vickey), Chauncey (Alma Rose), and Alex; four sisters, Gretchen, Sonja Yvette, Ardenna, and Albertha Lorraine (Eric); one uncle, Frank; three aunts: Sedonia Rowe (AI), Grace Palm, and Aileen Dukes, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at Saint John Community Church, Saturday, December 28th. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. and funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m.
