Ray Johnson

A graveside service celebrating the life of Ray Johnson, 74, will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, in Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM, Wednesday, February 28, 2024. The procession will leave immediately following the visitation at the Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Coushatta.

Ray was born on August 27, 1949, in Campti, LA, to Joseph H. and Birdie Slaughter Johnson and passed February 23, 2024, in Shreveport, LA.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Katherine Hudson Johnson; brother, David Wayne Johnson; and stepdaughter, Frances Moore.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kathy Johnson; sisters, Elaine Smith (Jerry) and Brenda Patterson; brother, George Johnson; stepchildren, Roy Glen Moore, Danny Moore (Sheila), J. W. Moore (Paula), Lennie O-Corr (Stewart), Carol M. Graham (Bryan). Billy Joe Moore, and Jimmy Ray Moore (Kari); grandchildren, Cynthia Johnson and Marie Carver Cheatwood; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
