Minden, LA Ray M. Ward, Sr. Funeral services for Ray M. Ward, Sr. will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Bro. Jerry Brannen officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Ray was born February 9, 1925 to Carl and Octavia Ward in Minden, Louisiana and entered into rest April 15, 2016 in Minden, Louisiana. He was a retired rural mail carrier with the United States Postal Service and a member of Pine Grove Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Carl Herman Ward. He is survived by his wife of 70 years Mary C. Ward of Minden, sons, Ray M. Ward, Jr. and wife Kathy of Minden and Kevin L. Ward and wife Sara of Colorado, brother A.B. Ward of Shreveport, six grandsons and one granddaughter. Pallbearers will be Ricky McKinley, Shane Ward, Tell Ward, Drew Ward, Noah Ward, Dan Strange and Keith Craig. Honorary pallbearers will be Grover Sikes, Tom Garland, Otto Krouse, O.A.
