Rayburn , A. "Buddy" Bufkin, Sr.   Services for Rayburn A. "Buddy" Bufkin, a lifelong resident of Pleasant Hill, La., will be held Monday, July 2^nd, 2018, at the First Baptist Church of Pleasant Hill. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:30 with the service starting at 11:30. Brother Joe Thibeau will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Left to cherish his memory is his son, Rayburn A. Bufkin, Jr. and wife, Melanie of Pleasant Hill, LA; daughter, Vickie Bufkin Collins and husband, Imack Collins of Benton, LA; Grandchildren, Justin Bufkin, Cameron Collins, Hayden Collins, Hannah Bufkin, Alexandra Collins; step grandchildren, Dustin Ferguson and Halston Johnson, 4 great grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren, a host of many nieces and nephews. He is survived by one sister, Mary Jane Bufkin. He is preceded in death by His loving wife Frances Yvonne Bufkin , one sister, Marilyn "Bid" Shingleton, father, Rayburn Pitts "Huck" Bufkin and mother, Mary Vivette Armstrong Bufkin. Mr. Bufkin devoted 55 years of his life to the Oil & Gas industry. He strived for perfection in every aspect of life and was a mentor to many. He was a devoted husband and loving father. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pleasant Hill and a longstanding pillar of the community. He will be greatly missed but his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched over the years.
