Services for Raye Goodwin Miciotto will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 3200 Airline Drive in Bossier City. Officiating will be Rev. Matt Rawle, assisted by Rev. Hugh Warren and Rev. Tim Barnes. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery on St. Vincent Ave. in Shreveport. Visitation will be prior to the service on Saturday, beginning at 12 noon at the church.
Raye Goodwin Miciotto passed away on May 22, 2018 in Bossier City. Raye was born in Haynesville, LA on October 29, 1926, the 11th and last child of Robert and Mary Tech Goodwin. As a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Raye did volunteer work for several years at the church. Raye was an exceptional mother and grandmother, worrying and caring for each of us. Her quick wit and laughter entertained all of us constantly and will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Roy Anthony Miciotto; daughter, Marilyn Johnston; her parents; seven sisters and three brothers.
Raye leaves behind son, Greg Miciotto and wife, Lisa. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Jason Johnston and wife, Shannon, Jeremy Johnston, Marissa Miciotto, and Mallori Miciotto, as well as six great grandchildren, Alyssa, JT, Caleb, Brady, Avery, and Brooklyn.
Honoring Raye as pallbearers will be, Mark Roppolo, Hugh Warren, John Pou and Joe Young. Honorary pallbearers are Louis Cascio, Tony Papa and Dr. J.C. Miciotto.
The family would like to give a special thank you to friends, Arlene Roden and Rick Upton for their help, concern and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church.
