Raymond Jean Dauzat

A funeral service for Mr. Raymond Dauzat will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, in the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home located at 334 Acton Road in Marksville.

Raymond Jean Dauzat, age 81, of Marksville, entered into rest on December21, 2023. He was born on December 27, 1941, in Marksville, Louisiana, to Florence and Albert Dauzat, Sr.

Mr. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; Florance and Albert Dauzat, Sr., three brothers; John Dauzat, Donald Dauzat and Hilton Dauzat and one nephew; Johnny Dauzat.

Those left to cherish his memory are his spouse, Jenny Dauzat of Marksville; three sons, Jonathon Dauzat of Marksville, Shane Dauzat (Angela) both of Marksville, but currently reside in Texas, and David Dauzat (Charlotte) of Marksville; daughter, Nicole Dauzat of Marksville, as well as ten grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Mr. Raymond enjoyed fishing and hunting but especially squirrel hunting. He loved celebrating wins by his favorite football teams and never missed an opportunity to sit down with his family over a good meal. He was always up for a cup of coffee and a card game in his spare time and never missed the opportunity to get some yard work done on a nice sunny day. Most importantly he loved the Lord and his family with his all his heart. He will be dearly missed.

A visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Rose-Neath Funeral home in Marksville.
