A Memorial Service for Rev. Paul C. Carroll, Sr. will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church of Coushatta. Officiating will be Rev. William Peeples and Rev. Don Avery. There will be no visitation.
Paul was born April 10, 1931in Itta Bena, MS to Earl and Mary Carroll and died January 22, 2018 in Monroe, LA. He served his country in U.S. Army during the Korean War. Paul was a member of the United Methodist Church and served his Lord as a minister in the church for 58 ½ years. He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and actively ran in foot races until his 80's.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Una; his parents; six brothers and two sisters. Sadly one of his daughters, Hope Holley, died just 12 days after her father on February 3, 2018.
Paul is survived by a son, Rev. Dr. Paul Curtis Carroll, Jr. of Coushatta, LA; daughters, Deborah Gray and husband, Sam of Brownwood, TX, Penny Gonzales and husband, David of Calhoun, LA; son-in-law, Bill Holley of Dade City, FL; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Ringgold, LA.
