SHREVEPORT LA - Funeral Services celebrating the Life of Rhett N. Wallace, 36, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at New Life Tabernacle of Shreveport, 4445 Meriwether Rd., Shreveport, LA, with Pastor Denis Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Ave., Shreveport, LA. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service at the church. Rhett was born June 7, 1981, in Houston, TX to Elaine Cross Wallace and Rodney N. Wallace and passed away due to complications of Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome peacefully on May 20, 2018, seventeen years to the day his mother passed. He loved sports, was an outstanding football player and was playing for Huntington High School the night of his heart episode, Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome. Rhett loved hunting and fishing, was mature beyond his years, respectful and kind heart. Rhett was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine Cross Wallace. Left to cherish his memory is his father Rodney Wallace and Janice Hollier of Shreveport, LA; grandparents, Marge Wallace of Benton, LA, and Riley and Pauline Wallace of Shreveport, LA; aunts, Vickie O'Neal and L. W. O'Neal and Marla Forsythe; uncle, Joe Johnson loyal friend; cousins, Tommy Anderson, Kristie Anderson and numerous other cousins, relatives and friends. Honoring Rhett as pallbearers will be Tommy Anderson, Chris Carter, Gary Cash, Chris Forsythe, Mark Hedges, Andrew Hollier, Joe Johnson and L. W. O'Neal. The family would like to thank the Doctors, staff and Mary of Arc of Acadiana Northwest, The Guest House for all of the care and compassion show to Rhett.
