Rhonda Shoemake

SHREVEPORT, LA - A Memorial service celebrating the life of Rhonda Shoemake will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be longtime family friend Kenneth Warren. Visitation will be held before the service from 11:00am until 12:00pm at the funeral home. Rhonda was born on February 20, 1955 in Shreveport, LA. She celebrated her independence from this life on July 4^th, 2015 as she danced into heaven. A special symbol of thank you to life was left behind for her by her sisters. Nothing could have been more appropriate! Rhonda retired from Caddo Sheriff Department after 28 years of service. She graduated from C.E. Byrd High School. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Peggy Killian Shoemake. Left to cherish her beautiful memory is her father, Wilbur Shoemake, Jr.; Teri Stadtlander, Lisa Shoemake, Dianne Gleeson, Mallory Stadtlander, Cameron May, numerous cousins and the light of her life, her great niece, Lexee May. Rhonda enjoyed reading, playing cards, crafts and the outdoors. She loved spending time with her family. She was a very strong person in every aspect of her life, as anyone who knew her would agree! Special thanks to Dr. Hernandez who fought with, for and sometimes against her! Also to the Doctors and staff at Frecenious Dialysis Clinic and Heritage Manor Stratmore; and an extra special thanks to her roommate, Betty Alderman for giving her wonderful friendship.
