Hunter
Richie, 84, was born in Milo, Arkansas November 11, 1930. She entered Heaven's gates on December 19, 2014, surrounded by her loved ones.
A loving mother and homemaker, Richie was an excellent cook and always enjoyed preparing meals for her large family. Her care-taking of others led her to work as a nurses aid at Meadowview Nursing Home for many years and then as a private sitter for the elderly patients. After retiring, she continued her care-taking in the community of Sibley. She was always checking in on and assisting her elderly neighbors, who cherished her friendship.
Richie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 28 years; Charlie Monroe Hunter, Sr., infant son Mickey Ralph Davis, father Joe Goodwin, mother Claude Goodwin, step-father J.D. Langford, sister Lonar Lee Moran, brothers Jessie Leslie Goodwin, G.G. Goodwin, R.J. Tuner Goodwin, Henry Hudson Goodwin, Malvin Ralph Goodwin, baby Claudi Dale Goodwin, J. C. Goodwin and extended family Aeolian Guillot, James Hunter and Maxine Hunter.
Richie is survived by her daughters Rita Vines and husband Art, Theresa Casciola and husband Laine, Sheri Beall and husband Gary, Sylvia Savage and husband Mike, Dale McKay and husband Donald, Leishia Leaver and husband Jim, son Rickey Hunter and wife Susan, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her extended family; Joy Parker, Ray Hunter, Charlie Monroe Hunter, Jr. and wife Mudge, Barney Hunter and wife Judy, Sammy Hunter and wife Bonnie, sister-in-law Dorothy Goodwin, daughter-in-law Betty Hunter, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services celebrating her life will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Jeff Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 27, 2014 from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Gordon McKay, Kris Kestler, Matt Hudson, Mark Smith, Bill Goodwin, Dustin Hickman, and Richard Procell.
The family extends a special thanks to Meadowview Rehab nursing staff, all the staff and nurse Mary of Home Health, St. Joseph Hospice of Shreveport's wonderful nurses, doctors, and sitters and Dr. David Nelson and nurse Jeannie.
