Ricky Earnest, 67, of Webster Parish, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Born on April 21, 1957, Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Sonny and Geryldine Earnest, and his brother, Gary Earnest.

Ricky is survived by his beloved dog, Duce, who was always by his side. He is also survived by his brother, Ken, and wife Patti; sisters, Alesia and Pat, and husband, Jeff; and his sister-in-law, Charlotte. Ricky’s children, Ricky, Stephanie and husband, Edward, and Matthew, along with his many grandchildren, including Christian, Taylor, Madison, Tanner, Brendon, Trenton, Macy, Emalee, Kamryn, and Grayson, were a great source of pride and joy for him. He was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his great-grandson, Myles. Ricky is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends who will forever remember him fondly.

A man who loved deeply, Ricky found immense joy in spending time with his family. He was a passionate fisherman and duck hunter who adored his lake house and the peaceful serenity it provided. Ricky loved to share this passion with family and friends, often hosting fish fries and making memories that would last a lifetime.

Ricky will be missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on through the stories shared, the love he gave, and the special moments he created. The family is grateful for the time they had with him and will always carry his spirit in their hearts.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.

May Ricky rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved by all.
