Rickey Dale Edwards

A memorial service for Rickey Dale Edwards, 66, will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. Burial will follow at the Welcome Cemetery in Taylor, Arkansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Danny Moffet.

Rickey Dale Edwards was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Buster and Maxine Edwards on June 20, 1958. He was a graduate of Haughton High School, class of 1976.

After high school, he joined the United States Navy and served for 20 years. Some of that time was on the USS Enterprise. While in the Navy, he went to many places like Hawaii, Spain, and the Philippines and took part in the Gulf State War.

Rickey loved his Lord and Savior and even took Theology courses online.

Rickey Dale Edwards was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ray A. Edwards. He is survived by his sisters, Rebecca Burge of Plain Dealing, LA, and husband, Cliff; Donna DeMoss of Benton, LA, and husband, Bart; brother, Jerry L. Edwards of New Mexico; nieces, Angela DeMoss Maxwell and husband, Steven, Carla DeMoss and great-niece, Gracie DeMoss; nephews, Aaron DeMoss, Caleb DeMoss and wife, Val, Matthew Edwards, Kevin Edwards, Derrick Edwards, Brent Edwards, Brandon Edwards and great- nephew, Wyatt DeMoss.
