In Loving Memory of Rita. With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our dear friend, Rita, a woman of strength, resilience, and boundless love. Rita departed this world surrounded by the warmth of her beloved niece, Mendee Allen Chance, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rita was a devoted daughter, mother, and grandmother who poured her heart into everything she did. She was fiercely independent, never afraid of hard work, and proved time and time again that determination and perseverance could move mountains. At one point, she worked three jobs just to put herself through beautician school, ensuring she could provide for and raise her boys with love and stability. Her unwavering dedication led her to purchase her first home, a place of comfort nestled right behind her parents—a testament to the deep bond she shared with her family. It was shortly after this milestone that Curtis came into her life, and together they embarked on a grand adventure. Their love story unfolded into a lifetime of shared dreams and hard work. They built a trucking company from the ground up, later delving into the locksmith business and even opening a flower shop. Rita approached each new endeavor with the same tenacity and passion that defined her spirit. Beyond her incredible work ethic, Rita found true joy in the simple pleasures of life. Fishing was her passion, and she could tell you about every hidden fishing hole on Caddo Lake like the back of her hand. There was nothing she loved more than sitting on her dock, listening to the rolling storms, and finding peace in the rhythm of the water. Rita was a woman who loved deeply and lived fully. She was a beacon of strength and warmth, a fierce protector of those she loved, and a friend who could always be counted on. Her laughter, wisdom, and indomitable spirit will be profoundly missed but forever carried in our hearts. Though she is no longer with us in body, her legacy of love, resilience, and adventure will live on in the stories we share and the memories we hold dear. Rest peacefully, dear Rita—you will never be forgotten.
