Robert "Bobby" Morris

Funeral services for Robert “Bobby” Morris, 77, of Bossier City, Louisiana, will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Merriwether Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, in Bossier City, on Thursday, July 13, 2023, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be long-time friend and brother-in-arms, Glynn Stephens.

Bobby was born on April 5, 1946, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Dawson P. and Elizabeth Morris and passed away Friday, July 7, 2023, in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Bobby was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from BellSouth Telephone Company after 32 years of hard work and dedication. He was an avid LSU and New Orleans Saints football fan, that loved to cheer them on, as long as they were winning, and always had an ice-cold Coca-Cola in hand. He loved going out on the boat and fishing with his son and grandson, hunting ducks with granddaughter, Shelby Lynn when it wasn’t too cold and he was also known to hunt for squirrels from the comfort of the back porch. He loved playing school with his daughter Kim, who was definitely a daddy’s girl. He enjoyed watching Gun Smoke and The Andy Griffith Show any and every chance he had. There was nothing more important to him than his family. He was absolutely the best husband, brother, father, Papaw and friend, whose memory will be cherished forever.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Pat Morris;  daughter, Kim Morris; son, Jason Morris and wife, Dana; granddaughter; Shelby Lynn and husband, Justyn Wirth; grandson, Dawson Jace Morris and sister, Marilyn Crocker.

Honoring as pallbearer will be Jace Morris, Justyn Wirth, Connor Phillips and Carlos Sosa, Bryant Glover, and Logan Ingles.
