Robert J Bordelon

Robert J. Bordelon (Bob), age 73, of Marksville, Louisiana passed away peacefully at his residence on July 1, 2022. He was born on December 21, 1948, and raised in Marksville, La. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandra Brouillette Bordelon of Marksville; three daughters- Dawn Bordelon Moreau, husband Ron of Prairieville, La.; Krissy Bordelon Juneau, husband Brady of Marksville; Keri Bordelon Bonnette, husband Thomas of Marksville, La.; sister, JoAnn Bordelon Dupuy, husband Mike of Hickory Hill; brother Mark Bordelon of Marksville, Grandchildren; Brielle, Conner, Julian, Cade, Jayce, Jonah, Olivia, Jon Riley, Victoria and one Great Grandchild, Adeyauna.  

Bob was preceded in death by his son, Robert ‘Rob’ Bordelon II; parents, Irby J. Bordelon and Ella Mae Ducote Bordelon, and stepfather Stanley P. Bordelon.

For over 40 years, Bob and Sandra, successfully and passionately opened and operated La Maison de Verdure nursery in Marksville, La.  Bob was a licensed arborist and landscaper, entrepreneur, devout Catholic, loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather.  Bob was known as an ‘expert’ in the nursery business, landscape design, arboriculture tree surgeon, and is best known for beautifying Oak Alley Plantation, Manresa House of Retreats, and thousands of homes across Louisiana.  Bob was an excellent Cajun cook, avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, camp, and enjoyed teaching his family to do all those things.
