Robert "Bob" Dorsey

Robert J. "Bob" Dorsey of Bossier City, LA, age 85, passed away December 23, 2017 at his home following a long and courageous battle with leukemia. He was born in Appleton, WI and graduated from Freedom High School. He served in the U.S. Navy, and also graduated from the University of Wisconsin. Bob was a banker and retired from Campus Federal Credit Union. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Christ the King Catholic Church. A mass will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. The family requests your presence in a celebration of his life at his residence following interment at Rose-Neath Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol; his children and their spouses, Mary and Noble Price, Tom and Debber Dorsey, and Crissie and John Wade; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Colletta Dorsey, four brothers, seven sisters, and one great-grandson. Pallbearers will be Noble Price, John Wade, Daniel Dorsey, Jeff Wade, Jason Wade, and Kris McCreery. The family would like to thank the Christus Highland Cancer Treatment Center, especially Dr. Snead and Christus Hospice for their care. Memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church or to Holy Angels.
