Funeral services for Robert Edgar Lee, 82, will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, Louisiana. A burial will follow at Doyline Cemetery in Doyline, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Kyle Anthony Lee.
Robert was born June 16, 1942 to Edgar Franklin Lee and Avonelle Smith Lee in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Robert was the first person hired at Western Electric’s Shreveport Plant in 1967. He worked there for 34 years before he retired. He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed his hunting trips with his sons and his hunting sons, Marty Watson, Joe Collins, and Tony Leach. He loved his family and would do anything for anyone. He loved Jesus and spending time with his church family.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Franklin Lee and Avonelle Smith Lee; brothers, James, Don, Melvin, and Jim Lee; sister, Marjorie Lee; wife, Beatrice Green and son, Robert Lee. He is survived by his wife, Helen Green; sons, Edward Lee, Keith Lee and wife, Cathy; daughter, Lisa Lee; stepchildren, Billy Prince and wife, Pearl, Sue Gill and husband, Greg, Mark Prince and wife, Nezzie, Tommy Prince and wife, Renee; grandchildren, Kyle Anthony Lee, Kaycee Lee, Kyle Allen Lee and wife, Margie, Dakota Fockler and Donielle Fockler and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Honoring Robert as pallbearers will be Kenny Bishop, Ronnie Dismukes, Tony Leach, Kyle Allen Lee, Joe Lewis, and Marty Watson.
The family would like to express thanks to Kaitlyn Exline and Tonnette as well as the rest of the hospice staff for the excellent care and compassion they gave to him.
The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105, or for missionary work in your home church.
