Robert "Bob" Foster was born in Amarillo, TX on July 31, 1952. He graduated from Bolton High School in Alexandria, LA in 1970. It was in Alexandria that Bob made his profession of faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and received Christian baptism. Bob later attended LA Tech University in Ruston, LA and LSU in Baton Rouge, LA. He has been a resident of Shreveport, LA since 1972.
Bob was preceded in death by his father Lora H. Foster and brother Dan Foster. He is survived by his mother, La Juana Jeanne Foster of Shreveport, LA; brothers Ron Foster of Cecilia, LA and Jason Foster of Shreveport, LA. He is also survived by a host of nephews, nieces and a very special group from the Rayville, LA area.
A funeral service will be held for Bob at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Jason Foster. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Castor, LA. Visitation with the family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. - 11:50 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Honoring Bob as pallbearers will be Russell Foster, Wayne Foster, Steven Foster, Luke Foster, Phil Gordon and Jeff Norris.
Bob was an outstanding athlete in basically all sports during his younger years. Later, he especially enjoyed hearing about the activities and lives of his many nephews and nieces. He will be remembered by all for his unique sense of humor and his special way of expressing himself on a variety of subjects. He was much loved by many and will be highly missed by all.
Grant rest eternal in blessed repose, O Lord, to the Thy servant Robert who has fallen asleep, and make his memory to be eternal.
