Graveside services for Robert L. Gilbert, Sr. will be held Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Phillip Farris officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Robert was born March 24, 1935 in Bordentown, New Jersey and entered into rest May 18, 2015 in Minden, Louisiana. Robert served his country and retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant and then worked at Madden Contracting Company for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Annis Gilbert. He is survived by his son Robert Louis Gilbert, Jr. of Florida, daughters Robin Ann Gilbert Norris of North Carolina, Tracy Hammontree and husband Adrian of Minden, siblings Rose Marie and Edward, extended family Angie Meek and husband Greg of Minden, Richard Desadier of Minden, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
