HAYNESVILLE, LA: A graveside service was held for Mr. Robert Lee Glenn, 79, at Arlington Cemetery of Homer, LA, under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer on Wednesday, January 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gary Taylor, officiating. The family received friends at the funeral home from 9-11 a.m., prior to the service.
Mr. Glenn was born December 29, 1938, in Simsboro, LA, to Fred E. and Maggie Gennie Bell Hicks Glenn. He entered into rest on Sunday, December 31, 2017, in Haynesville, LA. Mr. Glenn served his country for three years in the Marine Corps. He had been a small engine mechanic in Haynesville for over 40 years.
Mr. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Carroll Glenn; five brothers; and four sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lillian Arnold Glenn; a son, Richard L. Glenn; two sisters, Betty Haynes of Homer and Mary Ann DeLoach of Arcadia; three grandchildren, Daiquiri Ashley, Brennan Glenn and Cris Glenn; 5 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
