Robert Scott Gunderson

Funeral services for Robert Scott Gunderson, 60, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2565 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery West, Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Robert Portier.

Scott was born on August 7, 1963, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was the son of Evelyn and Robert Gunderson. Scott passed away suddenly, on Monday, April 29, 2024, in Minden, Louisiana, following an accident. 

Scott was a long-time resident of Shreveport, Louisiana. He has devoted his whole life to serving many duties within the family-owned business. He loved traveling, fishing, playing golf, listening to music, playing his guitar, bowling, working on vehicles, and helping others. Scott was truly a one-of-a-kind man when it came to his friends. He said, “He pulls no punches and will tell it like it is.”

Scott is preceded in death by his grandparents, Edgar and Genevieve Gunderson, Carl and Evelyn Martin, and his only daughter, Meagan Gunderson Gainer. He is survived by his parents, Robert E. and Evelyn Gunderson; sister, Jill and husband, Robert Small; two nephews, Joshua and Cody Small and wife, Stephanie; niece, Dayna Pumphrey; grand nephews Landon Pumphrey, Keaton Small; great-grand niece Heidi Pumphrey; aunt, Mary Helen, and husband, Vinton Cline; special cousins, Cheryl and husband, Kelly Stough and Kevin and wife, Debra Cline.

Honoring Scott as pallbearers will be Robert Small, Joshua Small, Cody Small, Keaton Small, Dillon Gould, and Tom Landis. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Thomas Cole.
