Robert Wayne Hassell

A memorial service celebrating the life of Robert Wayne Hassell, 61, will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to service. Robert was born on May 12, 1959 in Houston, Texas to Donald Lee Hassell Sr. and JoAnn Hassell and passed away on August 31, 2020 after a brief Illness. He had a long career in construction and had most recently been employed at Southern Home Builders as a warranty manager. Robert was hard working and a very caring man. He had a strong set of Christian values and morals that he lived by and took wonderful care of his wife, even while he was ill. He loved to fish with friends, golf, arrowhead hunt, go hiking and camping or anything that involved the outdoors. He will always be remembered by those who loved him, for his big heart and his big smile. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and JoAnn Hassell; uncles, Glenn McConnell and Bill Hassell; aunts, Doris Couch and Wilma Hassell; grandparents, and cousin, Billy Hassell. He is survived by his loving wife of nineteen years, Debbie Hassell; brother, Ron Hassell and wife, Vicky; nephew, Matt Hassel and wife, Sarah; niece, Erica Hassell and husband, Seth and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family would like to say a special heartfelt thank you to Southern Homebuilders for the kind and compassionate help through this difficult time. Their generosity made it easier for the family to navigate through the final weeks. They would also like to thank those in the Emergency room, third and fourth floor doctors, nurses, and staff all of Willis Knighton Bossier for their special care.
