KEITHVILLE, LA - Funeral services for Robert Lee McDonald, 77, will be held at 12 noon Friday, September 12, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive. Officiating will be Rev. Curtis Spears. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the funeral home.
Bobby was born on December 10, 1936 in Lillie, LA and passed away on September 9, 2014. He was a resident of Shreveport and a member of Apostolic Faith Tabernacle. He was a retired employee as a material handler for Printpack Inc. Bobby loved baseball and football. He collected baseball cards and was a fan of The New Orleans Saints.
He was preceded in death by father, William McDonald; mother, Audrey Spears; brothers, Farrell McDonald, Thelbert McDonald, Drexel McDonald; sister, Ruth Murray; and son-in-law, Michael Ashley. Left to cherish his memory is wife, Maxine McDonald; daughters, Cynthia Ashley and Belinda Mobley and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Ashley Johnson, Eric Ashley, and Clint Zimmerman. He is also survived by his sister, Diane Tanton and husband, Glen.
Pallbearers will be Clint Zimmerman, Robert Mobley, David Price, Eric Ashley, Bill Manzer, and Lewis Price.
