SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Robert Madison McLeod, 66, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 at Baptist Tabernacle, 8501 Kingston Road, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Marcell McGee. Interment will follow in Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA. Robert was born on September 14, 1947 in Hazelhurst, MS. He went home to be with the Lord on August 12, 2014 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers. He was a resident of Shreveport, LA and proudly served our country as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He served as a Field Artillery Commander. He was employed in sales at Stewart C. Irby Electrical Products for 13 years. Robert had a passion for the ministries of his church and loved singing. Robert was a loving father to his five sons. Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Louise McLeod. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Pamela M. McLeod; sons, Robert McLeod II and wife, Lynette, Andrew McLeod and wife, Mindy, Tim McLeod and wife, Charla, Jonathan McLeod and wife, Melissa, and Patrick McLeod and wife, Suzie; grandchildren, Kaylee, Sarah, Emma, Toby, Aiden, Colton, Allie, A.J., Chase and Elle; brother, Jerry Anding and wife, Charlotte.
