Funeral services for Robert James Pitman will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 2 p.m. at North Acres Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Everett Geis officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Robert James was born October 19, 1923 in Homer, Louisiana and entered into rest January 28, 2016 in Minden, Louisiana. He served his country in the United States Navy and was the owner of Pitman Metal Works. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Erlene Pitman of Minden, daughter Janice Clark of Minden, son Roger Pitman and wife Sandy of Minden, sisters Bettye Lowe and Ida Mae Yarbourgh of Minden, grandchildren Christina Chester and husband Thomas of Minden, Emily Boackle and husband Anthony of Slidell, Jonathan Clark stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas, Stacy Edwards and husband Jason of Minden, Jamey Pitman and wife Mary Charlotte Pitman of Ft. Hood, Texas and ten great-grandchildren.
