GRAND CANE, LA - Funeral services honoring the life of Robert M. Rives, 37, of Grand Cane will be Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 10:00 am, at Rose-Neath Chapel in Mansfield, LA with Reverend David Permenter officiating. Interment will follow at Grand Cane Cemetery in Grand Cane, LA. Robert's family will be receiving friends for visitation at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 5pm till 8pm.
Robert was born on August 22, 1980 to Albert "Mike" and Cheryl Stanley Rives entered into rest on May 21, 2018. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cheryl Stanley Rives, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Martin Rives, III and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Valentine; and maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Martin Stanley.
Robert was a graduate of the Class of 1999 from Central High School in Grand Cane. He also graduated from Northwest Technical College receiving his certification in AC/Refrigeration Technology and then went on to receive his Master Plumber's license. While in high school he was a member of Louisiana High School Rodeo Association. After graduation he became a member of Louisiana Rodeo Cowboys Association and went on to ride professionally. He also enjoyed all types of music and playing his guitar.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Alicia Michelle Rives; son, Caleb Wilson; daughter, McKenzie Wilson all of Keithville, LA; father, Albert "Mike" Rives of Grand Cane, LA; brothers, Ryan Wade and wife Tina Hampton of Texarkana, TX and Patrick Scott and wife Teresa Rives of Mansfield, LA; very special friend, Pam Britt and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
Those honoring the life of Robert as pallbearers will be Steven McGinnis, Scott Rives, Jason Ebarb, Tildon Gillium, Ryan Hampton, and Waylon Hildebrandt. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Rusty Wilson, James Adams, and Brett Jones.
Robert's family wants to extend a very special Thank You to his cousin Mandi Nash.
