Robert was born on the seventh day of June,1927 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He graduated from C.E. Byrd High School in 1944 and Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. His social fraternity was Lambda Chi Alpha.
Robert served two years of active duty in the United States Army in Germany from 1950 to1952. He retired from Southwestern Electric Power Company in 1992, before that, having worked for 4 years with the Cities Service Oil Company. He enjoyed many years of professional service and was an Emeritus Life Associate and past president of the Shreveport Chapter of the National Association of Accountants and more recently on the Board and Treasurer of Northwest Louisiana Personal Computer User Group.
He is predeceased in death by his parents Wiley Joseph Saucier, Sr. and Carrie Beauregard Saucier; grandson, Robert Beau Lucas and his two brothers, Wiley J. Saucier and Richard Saucier of Shreveport, Louisiana. He is survived by his wife, Janelle of 70 years of marriage; daughter, Cynthia Saucier Lucas; son-in-law, Jay Richard Lucas Sr.; grandchildren, Lauren Lucas Carpenter and Jay Richard Lucas Jr.; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Saucier Carpenter, Lucas Briscoe Carpenter, and Kate Cecile Carpenter; brother, Charles Saucier of New Orleans, Louisiana; niece, Amy Saucier Garceau, and nephew, Jon Charles Saucier.
His life was filled with travel, gardening, and activities at his Church but mainly time spent with his wife, daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
