Robert "Bob" Landon Stanford, 70, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Robert was born on August 29, 1950 in Burnet, Texas to David Platt Stanford and Eva Ernestine Nanney Stanford. A memorial service celebrating the life of Bob will be held at 2:00 p.m. on February 28, 2021 at Bellaire Baptist Church, 1210 Bellaire Blvd. Bossier City, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Bossier City, Louisiana.
Bob graduated from Marble Falls High School in Marble Falls, Texas. Early in his career he became a licensed electrician and worked on onshore and offshore drilling platforms. After settling in South Bossier he owned and operated RBBS cleaning service and subcontracted to James M. Brown Builders. Bob then transitioned into real estate sales and became a licensed real estate agent for James M. Brown and did independent work. He also drove and returned rental fleet cars for Enterprise Rental. He never met a stranger and has made many friends over the years in his many endeavors.
Bob enjoyed football and was a big fan of the Parkway High School team and was so dedicated to this team that he served as President on the Parkway High School Quarterback Club. You would catch him at the stadium every Friday night. He liked watching LSU and the New Orleans Saints on the weekend with family and friends. But Bob's most joyous times were spent with his family, grandkids.
Bob was preceded in death by his father. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Janette; son, Dr. Justin Stanford and wife, Dr. Molly Stanford; stepson, Tim Thomas and wife, Whitney; stepdaughter Sheila Hare and husband, Craigen; grandchildren, Camden Stanford, Landry and Anna Elise Thomas, Micah Hare; brother Larry David and wife, Fariba, Joe Leland and wife, Cathryn and sister Jan Tomison and husband, Randy and a host of nieces and nephews.
