Robert James Taylor

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Funeral services for Robert James Taylor will be 2 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Brent Shoalmire. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park, Haughton, LA. Visitation will be prior to the service on Friday, beginning at 12 noon. Robert was born June 11, 1927 in Flint, Michigan to Cassius D. Taylor and Nettie B. Small Taylor. He died July 10, 2016 in Bossier City, LA. Robert was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired as a Tech Sgt. He was a member of the Methodist faith, a lifetime member of the VFW and also retired from electrical sales. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy White Taylor; parents; one brother and two sisters. Robert is survived by sons, Carl K. Taylor of Elm Grove, LA and Jeff Taylor and wife, Dana of Marshall, TX; daughter, Patsy Woolverton of Tallahassee, FL; sister, Erma Ward of Flint, MI; brothers, Richard Taylor of Tucson, AZ and Darrel Taylor of Flint MI; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
